Christian Care Communities & Services was organized as a non-profit faith-based organization that operated three communities in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. For more than 70 years, CCC&S has provided quality housing and health care services for seniors in North Texas.
CCC&S was founded on April 4, 1947, under “Home for the Aged” in Gunter, Texas. As a ministry to retired Church of Christ ministers, the old Gunter Bible College housed the first elder residents, cared for by donations from individuals and churches. Neighbors from the area donated in-kind contributions, such as cows, pigs, garden produce, and other necessities to support the residents. Later known as Hilltop Haven, it was one of the first nursing communities in Texas to be certified for Alzheimer’s care. CCC&S provides services to seniors regardless of race, color, creed, religion, or national origin.
We are now operated by Boncrest Resource Group, a nonprofit faith affirming organization with a strong mission of serving others. We appreciate the many opportunities this relationship brings to our residents and community. Boncrest Resource Group has contracted with Oakdale Seniors Alliance for the management of our community. Oakdale Seniors Alliance supports communities who provide a full continuum of care services: independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and home health/hospice services.
CCC&S-Fort Worth, opened in 1982, provides multiple levels of senior care: Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care, Assisted Living plus Respite Care, Outpatient Therapy, Home2Stay Personal Assistance Services, and Hospice Care.
CCC&S-Mesquite opened in 1973 primarily as a nursing community with 120 beds. Since then, it has expanded to 26 acres, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care Assisted Living, Respite Care and Day Stays, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Outpatient Therapy, Home2Stay Personal Assistance Services, and Hospice Care.
In 2012, the Greenville Oaks Church of Christ gifted Christian Care Communities & Services with 5.1 acres of undeveloped land. Construction began in 2014 on our newest community, including beautiful Independent Living Cottages, Assisted Living Apartments and Memory Care Assisted Living Apartments plus Respite Care, Outpatient Therapy, Home2Stay Personal Assistance Services, and Hospice Care.
